Software Automation Test Lead

NuCompass Mobility is seeking a Software Automation Test Lead to work within our IT development group on developing test strategy, collaborating with team of QA personnel, and utilize hands-on testing and test automation expertise to deliver high quality software releases.This position is located in our Pleasanton, CA office in the San Francisco Bay Area.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Software Automation Test Lead is expected to support enhanced software quality by working with developers and testers, promoting best practices and test driven development, process improvements and QA automation. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties and projects may be assigned.

  • Identify test automation opportunities and develop and implement scripts for effective test automation.
  • Implement and manage automated testing, integrate tests with build and release processes.
  • Provide direction and ensure that the QA team effectively balances manual and automated testing.
  • Work with Development Team Manager to coordinate work of QA team
  • Work with Development Team Manager to create and execute an overall QA strategy, test planning, automation and script development, test execution and maintenance.
  • Promote Test Automation and train QA team in the area of automated testing. 
Qualifications and/or Experience: 
  • 2-4 years of software quality assurance
  • 2-4 years of automated tests development
  • Team leadership capacity with experience leading small team of QA personnel.
  • Technical skills and expertise in software testing with focus on System, Functional, and Regression automated tests.
  • Experience working with software test automation frameworks - hands on experience with Visual Studio, Spec Flow, Selenium, C#, Typescript, JavaScript.
  • Experience in development, deployment and management of Continuous Testing and Continuous Integration in MS Team Foundation environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment adjusting priorities based upon company needs
